The history of football has many odes, many odes, and here I tell in these verses the story of Diego Maradona, from the Fiorito village with the rain as his cradle, he was building childhood dreams of glory, fame and fortune. Like a futile kite one day he took flight, from Buenos Aires to Europe conquering the whole world. And despite the setbacks El Pelusa is still whole with the magic of his left foot in the hearts of the people.

La historia del futbol tiene muchas brunas, muchas odas, y aquí cuento en estos versos la de Diego Maradona, desde la villa Fiorito con la lluvia como cuna, fue armando sueños de niño, de gloria, fama y fortuna. Como futil barrilete un día emprendió su vuelo, de Buenos Aires a Europa conquistando el mundo entero. Y a pesar de los tropiezos El Pelusa sigue entero con la magia de su zurda en el corazón del pueblo.
