This year I come different

This year I am going to fight

To see if I can find the ladder

That he can take me to the top

This year I will be a better son

Better father, and a better brother

Good husband, and a best friend

From everyone who reaches out to me

This year I will be happier

I will give the body everything it wants

I will throw my gray hair in the air

But without my wife finding out.

This year I might travel

To Calcutta Rome or New York

But I'm going back to my land

To continue defending folklore

This year I come different

This year I am going to enjoy

Este año yo vengo distinto

Este año yo voy a  luchar

Para ver si encuentro la escalera

Que a la cima me pueda llevar

Este año seré un mejor hijo

Mejor padre, y un mejor hermano

Buen esposo, y un mejor amigo

De todo  el que me.tienda la mano

Este año seré mas alegre

Daré al cuerpo todo lo que quiere

Tiraré mis canitas al aire

Pero sin que mi esposa se entere.

Este año pueda ser que viaje

A Calcuta  Roma o Nueva York

Pero yo.me.regreso a mi tierra

Pa' seguir defendiendo al folclore

Este año yo vengo distinto

Este año yo voy a gozar.
