Album description

Born in Cali colobia Calixto is one of the most important salseros de Colombia.
When exiled Puerto Rican and Cuban Musicians emigrated to America in the 1950'0, they introduced their infectious dance rhythms to Harlem's steamy clubs and bars. Here, Cha-Cha-Cha and rumba met jazz to produce a sizzling dance mix which New Yorkers called "Salsa".
Calixto Ochoa in 1970 was awarded the king of "Vallenato" the unique music from Colombia, for accordion, vocals and percussion.
In this production Calixto Ochua and Las Vibraciones offer Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa and of course Vallenatao.
